About the programme
Nordic Master Programme in Innovative Governance and Public Management – or NORDIG, as we like to call it – challenges the traditional contents and sector-oriented learning approaches within the field of public administration and public policy.
NORDIG builds on Nordic research excellence within public administration, innovations and services, and brings together elements from social sciences, education and engineering. By combining elements of soft and hard applied sciences, it offers its students a spirit of solution-focused and resource-oriented entrepreneurialism, interdisciplinarity and close relations to society.
NORDIG is a four-semester Master’s programme (120 ECTS) organized jointly by Tampere University (Finland), University of Agder (Norway) and Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Studies of the programme are conducted in these three distinctive universities located in three Nordic countries. This combination of studies and countries forms a unique learning environment equipping the students with sustainable learning outcomes in the field of public administration and management.
The learning outcomes are applicable in the following contexts:
Public-private partnership
Public value creation
Co-production and deliberative democracy
Innovation systems
Digitalization
Smart solutions
